Central and local government, together with private sector suppliers, are constantly looking to squeeze more from available resources to build new roads and maintain existing networks. A most recent government initiative (Gershon) sets out clear expectations for greater efficiencies in roads procurement. This site offers the opportunity to share views, ideas and experiences in identifying these. It is intended to provide a forum for those practitioners required to carry out work in this area, to exchange experience, promote best practice and raise questions/problems which others within the SIG might be able to help. |
