Transport planning is taken to be all those activities involving the analysis and evaluation of past, present and prospective problems associated with the demand for the movement of people and goods. It includes the planning, design, management and operation of policies, facilities, services and processes that are, or can be used to secure sustainable accessibility. The Transport Planning Special Interest Group (SIG) is intended to provide a forum for those practitioners required to carry out work in this area. It will enable you to exchange experience, promote best practice and raise questions/problems which others within the SIG might be able to help.
