Brief History

IHT's Malaysian Branch (IHTmb) was established in February 1992 with the objective to provide a venue for the interaction of professional engineers in Malaysia involved in highway and transportation. The branch is the second overseas setup of IHT.

The aims and objectives of IHT Malaysian Branch (IHTmb) are to promote and advance the science and practice of highway and transportation engineering and related disciplines. It also serves as a focal point for the exchange of ideas related to highway and transportation engineering.

IHT has approximately 10,400 worldwide members and the Malaysia Branch consists of approximately 150 members. Membership is open to all those working in highways and transportation and related disciplines. The Secretariat of the IHT Malaysian Branch (IHTmb) is located at:
