David is the Deputy Regional Director for Ringway Infrastructure Services (West). He looks after Ringways’s term maintenance contract in Berkshire, Somerset, Solihul, Wiltshire and Worcester. His career in the highways industry started in 1979 as a graduate with Hampshire County Council, from where he moved to the Royal County of Berkshire and then Babtie Group, before joining Ringway in 2001.
David has been a member of the branch committee since 1994 and has served a number of years as the branch meeting secretary. He was previously chairman of the South Midlands Branch in 2000/2001.

Principal Engineer - Peter Brett Associates

David worked at Peter Brett Associates until the end of 2005 when he retired after 20 years with the firm.
He joined the branch in 1991. During his time on the committee has served as branch Chairman from 1997 to 1998 and as branch Secretary from 1998 to 2005. He was elected Treasurer in 2007. He has always been heavily involved in the organisation of the branch’s annual Sonning conference.
In 2006 he was awarded the Institution’s Certificate of Merit for services to the branch.
In retirement he now spends his time helping at his local Citizen’s Advice Bureau, tinkering with an elderly MG, DIY and gardening chores.

Naomi is currently working at Jacobs (Thame Office) as a road safety engineer and qualified road safety auditor. She works predominately on Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire County Council term contract schemes, but also undertakes audits for wide range of clients including the Highways Agency.
Her career in the industry started as a graduate in 1997 at Babtie Group. She has since moved on to West Berkshire Council and then Atkins before returning to Babtie in 2004.
She became a member of the IHT in 2004 and has recently joined the Thames and Chiltern Branch (2007) committee.

Mike is currently a consultant specialising in planning supervision. He is the nominated Planning Supervisor for the majority of Oxfordshire highway and bridge schemes prepared in the Jacobs Reading, Thame and Telford offices from 2002 to date. He has also worked as a consultant to UK Highways and Carillion on the setting up of the M40 DBFO with particular reference to Health & Safety and Risk Management in motorway construction and maintenance.
His career started in 1966 as a Graduate Engineer for Oxfordshire County Council. After working for 30 years at the council he moved to Babtie Group as a Technical Director.
He became a member of the ICE and IHT in 1984 and has sat on the branch committee for a number of years.
