Until 25 June 2002, the Branch included the entire Greater London area and the county of Essex. Members in Essex are now to be served by the East Anglia Branch. We shall continue to mail our programme in August to all members registered with us and with mailing addresses with the Chelmsford and Colchester Postcodes. Thereafter, if any Essex members feel they would prefer to have mailings from The Greater London Branch than from East Anglia Branch, they should immediately notify Headquarters.

At present, any member can choose which Branch to register with, and can choose the most suitable address for mailings. Hence the Greater London Branch has many members resident outside London who find it convenient to attend meetings in the afternoon and early evening in London. If any member of a neighbouring branch wants to additionally receive our programme, please send your request by e~mail to GreaterLondon@iht.org. This is likely to interest members working in London and living outside it.

As many meetings as possible are held on Wednesdays.

Workshops start at 6.00pm for 6.30pm. Events are hosted in Central London to avoid some members having to travel across London to meetings. All locations are close to public transport links. Please check the events calendar for the location of each meeting.

Seminars run from 2.00pm until 5.00pm, usually in Imperial College, room 201 (first floor) of the Civil Engineering building. This is on the north side of Imperial College Road, which can be reached from the northern most exit of the pedestrian tunnel from South Kensington Station. To attend seminars, it is necessary to send the relevant fee (currently £60) to the secretary with a SAE for confirmation to be returned.

Visits are timed to suit the event and charged at cost; they also need pre-booking.
